Winner + Cover of San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles

The team here (and this kitchen/outdoor space) are on top of the world!

First, for being honored as the winner of the NKBA-San Diego Large Kitchen Star Award, and then, for being featured on the cover of San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles.

This was such a creative, exciting, and freeing space to design, while working with such amazing homeowners--the pleasure was truly ours. See more about this project on our Houzz page!

Kitchen with a View

We have just completed the remodel of a kitchen and family room high on the hills in Del Mar, with sweeping views of the race track and the ocean. The kitchen is the hub of this home and was previously cramped and poorly laid out. To see how we have flipped this space to improve functionality and take advantage of their incredible views be sure to see the entire project on our Houzz page!

New Discovery at the NKBA Event at PIRCH

We had a great time at then NKBA event at Pirch last night! Our favorite part was discovering this AMAZING new appliance from Whirlpool called "Swash"!! It's like a personal dry cleaner for your home. We were even more shocked to learn that it's only $500! You can dewrinkle, freshen, and care for all of your delicates and items you would normally have to take to the dry cleaner! Like they say, "It's a lot like going to the dry cleaner, minus the whole 'going' part." Who doesn't love that? We sure do!

Design Inspiration "Down Under"

Cheryl's traveling in Australia for a couple of weeks and sending us some design inspiration she's picking up on her travels! She's starting in Melbourne, a cultural and botanical experience, telling us that the amazing verdant green Bunya Bunya pine with it's prickly needles was an excruciating aboriginal initiation climb to the top! The Federation Bells with the vertical display of bells was an acoustical delight tolling seasonal Christmas carols.
Rain clouds over the Royal Exhibition building blends shades of gray in the early evening - how beautiful! Finally, she sent us images of the most creative museum displays in the Melbourne museum showing local Aboriginal cultural history highlighting their creator the Bunjil majestic eagle in lighting displays and carving. We Sure are jealous!
